Art Around You: Exploring Contemporary Art in the Community
Explore the work of contemporary artists and create your own masterpiece inspired by a guided tour of Illinois State University Galleries. Then explore the styles and media you learned about as you create your own artwork back at the Children's Discovery Museum!
Students will be exploring the 2022 Student Annual in this month's program. The 2022 Student Annual is a juried exhibition showcasing new artwork produced by students at Illinois State University. This exhibition offers many students the first opportunity to have their work reviewed by professionals outside the University and will be on view April 14 - May 8.
All participants will be required to wear a mask for the entirety of the program. Classes will be limited to 20 students each group. Each program will need a minimum of 5 students to run.
Age: Children 7-10 years old
Class Time: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Class Cost: Free with pre-registration thanks to a grant from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation
