Johnny is a successful banker who lives happily in a San Francisco townhouse with his fiancée, Lisa. One day, inexplicably, she gets bored of him and decides to seduce Johnny's best friend, Mark. From there, nothing will be the same again. R / 99 min.

Sure, that is a description of THE ROOM, but it doesn't even begin to scratch the surface. This film is an absolute trainwreck; let us be clear that by any objective standards, the THE ROOM is just awful. But what makes it a transcendent film-going experience is the environment. Packed houses respond to the film with callouts and props in the same fashion as THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, allowing you to look past the confusing-at-best plot and delightfully awful performances and revel in the shared experience of the ultimate "so bad it's good" title. If you've never seen THE ROOM, do not watch it by yourself at home; instead, come see it in the theater and have an undeniably great time.
